Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her writing and design. She advocates animal rights. Her name is well-known for films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). In New York, she was born and brought up in an creative family. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. Her two first films were noticed and she received the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international smash, and earned her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. After just three short films MacGraw was named as the top female performer in box office history. Her handprints as well as her signature were inscribed at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she was also in the TV miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw's been married three different times.
