Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 [1] and is a Canadian actor. After her initial television roles her fame grew due to her role in The Matrix series (1999 to present). Memento (2000) won her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) received the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In a Supporting role. Jessica Jones (2015), 2015-2019) and Unthinkable (2010) was among her TV roles. Moss was living in Spain when she was offered the part as Tara, Judge Nicholas Marshall's Clerk, in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first television appearance. The show was a success and she moved from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss had to leave Dark Justice before the series its third and final season and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn as Samantha "Sam" Collins. She enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena after her return and then she was a part of the primetime soap opera of Fox Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. The show ended in July of 1995. show was ended. Matrix was a brief-lived made in Canada series. 3 Throughout the 1990s she appeared in several television series including Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she was nominated for the Gemini Award for Best Guest actor in the Drama. She appeared in a number of B-movie roles during the decade which included Flashfire (1994) as well as The Soft Kill(94), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
